METHODS OF A WALL STREET MASTER - VICTOR SPERANDEO

Victor Sperandeo, also known as Trader Vic, was one of Jack Schwager's "new market wizards".  His book, Methods of a Wall Street Master, is one of the first anyone wanting to learn to trade should read.  His first lesson is the "secret of the Gamboni".  He tells of a card player that lost a big hand in a new establishment to a player with a special hand called a Gamboni.  But later, the same player was suprised when his own hand was a Gamboni but after playing it he was informed only one Gamboni per night could be played.  These special rules were posted on the wall but he had failed to read them.  The lesson, "the secret of the Gamboni is this: if you want to win, you've got to know the rules; and also, you can't win if you're not at the table."

Sperandeo makes special definitions for this volume.  Traders are market participants focused on short term moves which play out in minutes to weeks, speculators on swing moves from weeks to months, and investors on long term trends from months to years.
